Yes, we can offer hire if you're booking from inside the EU, or from any of the following countries: Andorra, Australia, Canada, Iceland, Liechtenstein, New Zealand, Norway, South Africa, Switzerland and United States. Regrettably, we can not accept bookings from territories not listed due to restrictions around insurance.
Please refer to our Driver Eligibility page for full details.
Yes, we include comprehensive insurance cover for up to 2 drivers for road traffic accidents or collisions. We operate an excess deposit of £1,500. This will be held against your credit card (only charged in event of an incident). We also offer a Collision Damage Waiver option should you wish to reduce your liability.
Collision Damage Waiver – or, CDW – is an optional extra charged at £15 per night. If selected, the excess deposit is significantly reduced from £1,500 to £500. This represents the maximum you will pay if involved in a road traffic accident or collision (subject to detailed terms and conditions). CDW also covers damage to tyres and windscreen. You can choose CDW online when booking or when you pick-up your motorhome but it can not be added once the rental has commenced.Â
If you’re booking within 6 weeks of travel then we’ll ask for the full amount at checkout. Otherwise, you will initially pay a deposit (20%) upon making your booking. You can then pay the balance in instalments by logging in to your account online as long as it is fully settled your balance no later than 6 weeks before you pick up the motorhome. Don't worry, we'll keep you posted with the occasional email reminder to keep your holiday on schedule.
Plans can and do change. Unfortunately, we do have to charge you in the event of a cancellation. The amount you will be charged depends on how close you are to the collection date when making your cancellation. See below for details.
Cancellation charges:-
- More than 6 weeks before collection:- 20% of the total hire cost is non-refundable
- 6 – 2 weeks before collection:- 50% of total hire charge is non-refundable

We generally undertake all pre-hire checks in advance to avoid any difficulties or delays at collection. Swift Go will be in touch before your rental to request from UK drivers:-
- A copy of the front & back of your licence
- A 2nd proof of address such as a utility bill dated within the last two months
- A licence summary showing status and any endorsements. This can be obtained at: http://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence
For non-UK customers, we need:-
- A copy of the front & back of your licence
- A 2nd proof of address such as a utility bill dated within the last two months
- A copy of your home nation passport
Please make sure your driving licence is in date and that you have checked our Driver Eligibility page before collecting. Note that all drivers must be present on collection please.
Our standard pick-up time is in the afternoon (between 2pm and 4pm). However, we understand that our customers want to make the most of their motorhome experience and, with that in mind, we will try to accommodate earlier collections on a request basis.
During busy periods, early collection is less likely to be available and we won’t be able to confirm until a few days before you travel.
We recommend that you book your first night at a camp site within 2-3 hours’ drive of the Swift Go depot.
We ask you to return and unload your motorhome by 11.00am please (our office opens at 08.30am). Failure to do so could impact another customer’s holiday and will attract late return charges of £75 per hour, chargeable quarter hourly.
We recommend that you stay within 2 hours of the Swift Go depot on your last night to ensure a stress free return journey.
Our offices are open:-
- Monday to Friday – 8.30am to 4.30pm
- Saturday - open for collections and returns only.
This is generally possible Mon-Fri in the low season but we would always encourage you to phone in advance and make an appointment. In the summer, our depots are very busy operationally - it’s likely we won’t have many vehicles in our yard and those we do have will be cleaned and prepared for customer hires. You can, however, find images, floor plans and 360 degree tours on our website and you can always give us a quick call should you have any questions.
Many customers prefer to bring their own bedding & towels but Swift Go can supply these items at an additional one-off cost for your convenience - £50 per double set, £25 per single set.
