Before you book with Swift Go, it’s important that you check your eligibility to hire and drive one of our motorhomes.

Before you book with Swift Go, it’s important that you check your eligibility to hire and drive one of our motorhomes. We allow 2 named drivers as standard but it should be noted that all nominated drivers must be present on collection to sign the rental agreement.
Swift Go is required to carry out a DVLA check on all UK issued licences before releasing a vehicle for rental. Please make sure you meet our insurance requirements at the point of booking as any refund would be subject to our standard terms of cancellation if it transpires that you are ineligible to drive.
To drive a Swift Go vehicle you must:-
- Be aged between 25 and 75 inclusive for the full duration of your rental
- Have held a full licence for at least 3 years. All Swift Go motorhomes and camper vans weigh less than 3,500kg GMW and can be driven by holders of a standard UK category B licence
- Have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence and no major convictions. (see below)
- Have had no more than one insurance claim made against you within the last 3 years
Swift Go cannot enter in to a rental agreement with:-
- Persons who have been convicted of any Major driving offence during the past 5 years or have any such prosecution pending. Drivers who have any of the following licence code endorsements cannot be insured and will be ineligible to drive a motorhome: AC, BA, CD, DD, DG, DR, IN, LC, MR, MS, NE, TT, UT, XX
- Persons who have been disqualified from driving for a period exceeding six months in the last three years or have been disqualified for a period exceeding three months in the past year, even if the actual conviction took place more than 5 years ago
- Persons with any of the following occupations:
- Celebrities
- Sports personalities
- Musicians
- Entertainers
- Serving Foreign Armed services personnel
- Embassy employees based in the UK
- Persons who have had insurance declined and/or renewal refused
- Persons who have no fixed abode
